In the past, the Chamber choir entertained the members of the National Talking Newspapers for the Blind at their Annual General meeting. In the audience were Theresa May MP and the Mayor of Maidenhead Dorothy Kemp. The choir received very warm and appreciative applause after performing nine songs. These were Classical and Renaissance pieces from their first successful concert on the 14th July as well as two new songs ‘How Merrily we live’ by Michael East and ‘Steal Away’ - a lovely arrangement by Nicky Jerrome. Theresa May was particularly complimentary to Bel Canto Chorus in her address to the meeting. The audience were pleased to hear something different and so well performed.
“I was so pleased to hear the Bel Canto Chorus for the first time recently. It was lovely to hear them perform such a range of music. There was something for everyone to enjoy and listening to them was a real delight." Theresa May, MP
